Dreams of Autumn Past

 “Tune in with the seasons.

Look outside.

Winter is fast approaching.

Everything is slowing down.

The plants and trees are settling down to sleep.

The squirrels are preparing to hibernate.

The days are shorter with longer periods of darkness.”

“Winter is a time to rest and recuperate,

to become rejuvenated.

It is not a time for upheaval.

We can, however, be planting the seeds,

ready for sprouting in the Spring.”

“For everything there is a season,

and a time for every matter under heaven.”

Ecclesiastes Chapter 3 verse 1

  1. Just Breathtaking views, Autumn although soggy here and not as vibrant or colourful as your amazing photos, or as in previous years is always a beautiful time.. To see the Rowan trees laden with berries, we watched the blackbirds consume them greedily until all were gone.. The hawthorn too full of berries and we have a Holly tree in the hedgerow near by too full of berries.
Reading your comments above to Lorrie, you are one step ahead of me in severing ties with the internet… And stepping back from the technology every now and again is what we feel called to do.. Our Spirits need the space to realign and energise..
Wonderful to be in contact with you again Stay Blessed..
    And Much love ❤

    • Autumn has been much the same here, Sue – not as vibrant as previous years with the photos needing some editing to add some decent colour. But I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my walks in nature. I’m uplifted on all levels when I’ve attuned and communed with the Earth Mother. The photography is an added bonus. Love and blessings 💚

  2. Lovely shots. Autumn is something I miss. We don’t have it here. (Mexico)

  3. Amen!
Dear Isabella…how are you? It seems you are great if I compare to the glorious beauty in this post! Wow…the photos are stunning and the words are truth.
Fall has finally hit here where I live…we had a high of 70°F…that is chilly to me 😉
I like thinking about what you said…that winter is a time for rest…not upheaval…I think I will take that to heart…and just BE in the moments.
Much love and light to you 💜

    • Hi there, Lorrie. Thank you for your lovely message. It’s so nice to hear from you after my extended break from internet-ing [which I need to take very regularly!!]. And I do plan to be less physically active throughout the Winter months, although I will be planting seeds ready for blooming in the Spring. I have been in the process of simplifying my life and I have deleted all my social networking sites except WordPress. My goal is to be a free spirit, living the fullest expression of life. Much love and light coming back to you 💙💜

      • Beautiful soul!! I see you flying through life like a butterfly. I understand wanting to unplug…sometimes I feel consumed by it all. I have not deleted anything, but I do take mental health breaks from time to time. I just follow my soul’s desire. I think back to when I first started blogging and I did it almost every day! I loved it while I was doing it, but then certain things in life took over…and you know the rest.
It is so nice to connect. I wish you all beautiful things as you express your life! Many sweet blessings 💜

      • Love and blessings always, my dear kindred spirit

  4. Beautiful dreams 🙂 🙂 Radiant colours!

  5. Dazzling colors! I’m envious – a drought muted the leaves here in North Carolina.

    • Thank you, Mike. It hasn’t been the best Autumn here – just lots of heavy rain and not really cold enough to get the best leaf colours. I did have to edit quite a lot.

  6. Stunning autumn colors! Beautifully captured! 🍂🧡🍁

  7. Beautiful fall photos!

  8. I am so happy to hear you again dear, welcome back! What a beautiful Autumn photographs, colours fascinating… Thank you, Love, nia

  9. Welcome back Izzy, it’s such a treat to see your wonderful photographs again. 🙂

  10. Always a joy to see you in my reader! Hugs!

  11. The autumn colours are superb this year and your photos look absolutely amazing! It’s one of the most magical seasons of the year and with the first winter storms already rattling along the rooftops, I can’t wait to rest and recuperate. Thanks for sharing your photographs, I enjoyed them immensely. Aiva
